The ultimate health blogger bowl has to go to the Acai Bowl. A real classic sight to behold across all social media platforms that I had yet to try out for myself until recently. Thanks to Kiki Health, I have created this exotic recipe that combines so many superfoods into one sensational bowl.
Origin & Health Benefits
Naive to Central and South America, this is a reddy/purple inch-long fruit, that grows on an acas palm tree. Its renown for its high levels of antioxidants, even more so than blueberries! Though there is no studies yet to say that it beats eating similar fruits, such as raspberries and blueberries. It is low in sugar and contains excellent levels of iron, vitamin A, calcium and fibre.
It is a wonderful way to start your day or even as an on the go smoothie, though it tastes more like ice cream! I am really impressed with how nice this actually is and look forward to trying out lots of different variations in the future.
